The SP Flash Tool has encountered an error while communicating with the device via the target port. Error 1013: BROM ERROR: S_COM_PORT_OPEN Fail (1013) Please Note: This error may occur on the ‘raw’ versions of the SP Flash Tool on the PC.
Use a different version of the SP Flash Tool. The size of any part of the firmware is larger than the allotted space. Ensure that the device’s USB port is not damaged physically or getting wobbly.ġ1. Make sure to use a different USB Cable. Try using different versions of the SP Flash Tool. Connect the MTK device to a different USB Port on the PC. Therefore, this particular error appears. The SP Flash Tool has been encountered an error while communicating with the connected MediaTek device via the target port. Just download and install the latest version of SP Flash Tool. If the version of the SP Flash Tool doesn’t support the size(s) of the file(s) in the firmware then you may encounter such an error. Error 1012: BROM ERROR: S_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY (1012) 
Please Note: Some older generation MediaTek smartphones or tablets may require removing the battery before flashing.
Keep in mind that power off the device and charge the battery more than 60% at least before flashing any file. Make sure to use another PC and a USB Cable. The SP Flash Tool is having problems with reading the MTK smartphone or tablet device.
